Carmela Marie Rivera is based on Cainta Rizal and is currently a 4th-year college student studying Bachelor of Arts in Photography at De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde. She specializes in Food and Portrait Photography. Carmela has experience in different genres of photography and is willing to explore more as she continues to be more creatively passionate about her art.
She wants her skills to express colorful, bright, imaginable, and exciting photographs. She brings the creative brief to life and makes the subject part of the story. She uses her skills in photography to enhance her creative works and learn more about photography.
She has exhibited at iAcademy’s Project-based Learning: A photography travel guidebook to identify and have knowledge of mythical creatures and legends of the Philippines.
Her work was exhibited in Spectrum: To Each, Their Own. which was held at De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde on April 2023. Her work is titled “Every body”. Using cutouts of a series of photos of different people and combining their different shapes and sizes to create a new figure. Defining a new meaning to the word “beauty”. 
She was able to be an assistant photographer and assist Sir Kim Diaz an Advertising Photographer and Ms. Mariel a food photographer, based on her experience she was able to learn food style and creative lighting as she was able to learn it from professionals. 
She is currently working as a Social Media Associate at Photography Chismis PHis a project dedicated to promoting meaningful conversations about photography in the Philippines. 
One of her unique aesthetic styles is she applies bright lighting by imitating natural light with neat styling and incorporating elements of shapes in her photographic work in food photography.
